Dr. James Lee is a Korean born American citizen who served 9 ½ years in the U. S. Air Force as an officer. He served as a Plans officer in Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea (ROK) from December 1981 to December 1983. During his assignment in Korea, Captain Lee received the U. S. Air Force Commendation Medal as well as the ROKAF Commendation Citation. Captain Lee was reassigned to NATO AWACS Base in Geilenkirchen Air Base in Germany and served as Chief of the Plans, Mobility, and Visits section of the Flying Squadron Two. Captain Lee was awarded with the Defense Meritorious Service Medal as the result of his accomplishment during his service in Germany. Captain Lee received a call from the Lord to become His fulltime minister of the gospel to the nations in Germany in May 1986.

After resigning his commission as a senior Captain in the USAF in January 1987, he attended Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia and acquired first an M. A. Degree in World Missions in 1988 and later earned a Doctor of Ministry in 1997. Dr. Lee is currently the Founder and President of River of Life Ministries (RLM) since November 2001. After Dr. Lee graduated from Regent University in May 1988, he established RLM Ecclesia Fellowship to equip American disciples in Hampton Roads and traveled to more than 100 countries to expand the kingdom of God in the nations. Dr. Lee dedicates his life training indigenous Christian leaders through establishing River Missions Training Centers (one year intensive discipleship training schools) to plant indigenous local churches throughout the world. Also, he created Global Harvest Network (GHN) seminar courses to equip indigenous Missions Mobilizers to evangelize the Unreached People Groups in the world. Through the past 33 years of Dr. Lee’s fulltime missions work in the nations, over 800 indigenous churches have been planted and six unreached people groups have been evangelized by his disciples.

Dr. Lee regularly conducts revival services, GHN Conferences, World Missions seminars, pastors’ conferences, leadership and discipleship trainings and evangelical outreaches throughout the world. Dr. Lee also wrote three books: The Kingdom of Heaven is at HandWhen God walks with an Ordinary Man (Foreword by Leif Hetland and endorsed by Dr. Randy Clark), and It is Written: Spiritual Warfare Focusing on God and His Mighty Power. Dr. Lee and Margarita have two children and six grandchildren.
